Can you replace manual seats with power seats

 · The power (driver's) seat in my '96 Cobra has stopped working. I never wanted a power seat anyway, and I'd just as soon rip that junk out and replace it with a manual sled. The one thing I can't find any information on is the wiring for the E46 seats. They all use this big "community" connector. I'll only be using 4 or 5 wires off of it for the retro fit. Power, Ground, Seat Belt Switch Wire #1 and Seat Belt Switch Wire #2, possibly a 2nd ground for the seat belt switch but probably not.

Reading this thread inspired me to replace my manual seats in my Silverado LS for Power Seats. Only thing is I don’t know how to order the wiring harness. I was told, "There is no simple harness to add for the seats. You cannot even order one. GM orders through the VIN number and you will just keep getting the original harness. I've looked into it, and it's theoretically possible. Aside from all the motors, you also need the wire harness from a power car. You also need to make sure that your car is pre-wired for power seats in the fuse box. This requires some investigative work - otherwise you have to hack into somewhere to get power for the seats, and they're power hungry.
